Qapla’ allows you to enable SMS updates for your customers, providing real-time tracking information for each shipment automatically.
Sending SMS notifications with tracking information keeps customers informed and engaged throughout the delivery process.

SMS Costs

Transactional SMS is billed on a monthly pay-per-use basis:

  • €0.06 each for national SMS

  • €0.15 each for international SMS

SMS Configuration and Activation on Qapla’

To activate SMS, go to:
Marketing > [Channel Name] > SMS

Settings:

  • ACTIVE SMS: enable this option to activate SMS notifications.
  • Amazon SMS: if you manage orders from Amazon, you can enable this option to send SMS to Amazon customers.
    WARNING: sending communications to Amazon customers is your responsibility. Amazon policies prohibit sending links or contacts outside the Amazon network.
  • Sender ID: field to enter the name that will appear as the SMS sender (maximum 11 characters).
  • Message Text:
    • Language filter and options to customize the SMS text in the following languages:
      •  Italian
      • English
      • German
      • French
      • Spanish
      • Portuguese
      • Czech
      • Romanian
      • Hungarian
    • Status: select the shipment statuses for which SMS will be sent. Tick the checkbox next to each status to activate it.
    • Message: Customize the SMS message for each status, using Qapla’s Meta Variables to include shipment-specific details.
      Maximum allowed length: 160 characters.
    • Preview: use the preview button to see a sample of the SMS.
  • SMS Sending Conditions, you can apply SMS sending rules for domestic and international shipments
    • Send SMS if there is no recipient email address
    • Send SMS only for cash-on-delivery (COD) shipments
    • Send only one SMS per status
    • Do not send notifications if the shipment is being returned
    • Do not send to [CARRIER]: carriers active on the channel will be listed here; you can exclude specific ones from SMS notifications.

Click “Update” to save changes.

SMS Function and Log

SMS are sent when the shipment status changes and that status is enabled in your configuration (e.g., from “out for delivery” to “delivered”).
The trigger is the status update received from the carrier.

You can view the SMS sending log from the Tracking section by clicking on the shipment details on the right, under the Notifications panel.
